Raspberry Nicecream

Updated: May 5, 2019

Here's three little ingredients that you'll need to make raspberry nicecream (I wanted to say ricecream but that sounded funny ). Knowing that the basis for nicecream is just frozen banana there are so many ways you can get creative. Simply add raspberry and chia seeds and voila you've got a pink bowl to tuck into. If you're on a mission to add more seeds into your day then this is a really simple way to start.

You can find chia seeds in most stores so why not grab some and see what you can sprinkle them on. For now here's my recipe to get you started.

Serves: 1

Time to prepare: 10 - 15 minutes or 2 - 3 hours (see below)*

You will need...

  • 1 frozen organic banana

  • 1/2 cup frozen organic raspberries

  • 1/2 tsp chia seeds

How to create...

  • First, slice up your banana (the thinner the slices the better) and add them to a freezer bag/ container, along with your raspberries and pop them in the freezer. *This will take 2 - 3 hours unless you've already got some in the freezer.

  • Once the banana and raspberries are frozen, take them out of the freezer and let them sit for 5 minutes.

  • Next, put the banana and raspberries into a food processor and mix until smooth. During the whizzing, use a spatula to scrape down the sides to make sure everything mixes together.

  • Finally, add the nicecream to your favourite bowl and sprinkle with chia seeds.

* Top tip: Chop up a banana and always have it frozen in the freezer for unplanned nicecream cravings. Bananas can last for up to 6 months in the freezer. Just remember to label the container/ freezer bag with the date.

Enjoy creating ,
