Today is officially so warm that I’m happily sitting inside with the air-con on making a smoothie bowl for lunch.
Serves: 2 (good size smoothies)
Time to create: 10 minutes
In this little creation is...
1 red apple
1 banana
Handful of frozen blueberries
1/3 cup frozen raspberries
1 tsp chia seeds
Optional extra...
Splash of almond milk
How to create...
Peel the banana, core and chop the the apple and whiz everything into a blender until smooth.
I served mine in a bowl with granola, some chopped apple and a tsp of peanut butter.
I also served some with a little splash of almond milk to add some creaminess for those who drank theirs instead of spooning it out of a bowl #smoothie #smoothiebowl #lookatthatcolour
Did you know that berries have antioxidant compounds which helps your body neutralise free radicals. We’re bombarded with ingested toxins as well as a natural free radicals that our body creates. So that’s just one great reason to eat lots of colourful foods #antioxidant #thecolouristgesecrettogettingantioxidants
Even if your in the northern hemisphere right now.... this is a great breakfast or after school snack and the best bit is you can top it with anything you like!!!! If you like it a little zing add some extra raspberries and only put 3/4 apple in to slice and put on top!
Happy creating,
